However, city surveyors missed a 500-square-inch-triangle of David Hess’ property which inspired the Hess family to cover that tiny piece of concrete with a tile mosaic with a quite interesting statement “Property of the Hess Estate Which Has Never Been Dedicated For Public Purposes”. Later on the Hess family sold this tiny piece of real estate property to some of the surrounding companies, but still to this day the triangle mosaic stands there as a reminder of one of the world’s smallest real estate property.
