It is a traditional Cuban highball whose birthplace was Havana and according to some sources, it was first invented in the 16th century and known as “El Draque” (named after Sir Francis Drake) by mixing several ingredients, all of them indigenous to Cuba If you haven’t tried it or you just prefer to learn to do it by yourself and impress your friends on some of your pool parties, this is the place to be!   • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 heaping teaspoons superfine sugar
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 12 fresh mint leaves, plus 5 small sprigs for garnish
  • 1/4 cup white rum
  • 2 tablespoons club soda
What should we do? Step 1: Lightly muddle the mint in a shaker. Step 2: Stir together the lime juice and the sugar until the sugar dissolves. Step 3: Add rum and crushed ice. Step 4: Shake it well and then pour it into highball glass. Step 5: Add club soda and add the mint leaves.
